DBT: Emotion Regulation

Learn to understand and master your emotions using DBT's trans-diagnostic approach.
This module helps individuals to identify their emotions and respond to them wisely. It includes building an understanding of the function of emotions and learning about how emotions are created and maintained. With knowledge of the mechanisms that increase emotional intensity and duration, skills are taught that help reduce emotional suffering. This module includes skills to both accept emotions and to change emotions.






Nine weeks of DBT skills training 
Including weekly live sessions with Dr Yvette Vardy.

•   $120 AUD per week (plus 10% GST) for nine weeks ($80 AUD concession, available for card holders).


Webinars maintain privacy, remove difficult group interactions and facilitate learning regardless of location or professional role.

No waitlists, no need to search for an available trained clinician or rely on the textbook. No expensive assessment processes or need to be in crisis. Immersive experience of DBT skills training. Participation is distinct from therapy but can be a helpful adjunct for those with existing support.

Anonymous login facilitates an inclusive approach suitable for clinicians, family members, partners and clients. Program available for anyone who wants to learn, regardless of location, ability, orientation. From a DBT perspective, the skills we need are the same.

Yvette

Dr Yvette Vardy (she/her) is a clinical psychologist with a strong interest in borderline personality disorder and in helping those with complex issues and traumatic histories to overcome their difficulties and recover. She has established several Dialectical Behaviour Therapy programs in Australia and worked as a senior educator with Spectrum, Personality Disorders Service of Victoria, training clinicians state-wide.

Dr Vardy has completed Intensive and Comprehensive DBT and DBT-PE training and written a doctorate investigating the intolerance of "aloneness" in borderline personality disorder. In 2019, she published a peer-reviewed journal article on this work, which includes an assessment tool capturing the intensity and severity of the aloneness experience. She is passionate about breaking down barriers to accessing quality care.
