Learn how to tolerate distress, manage urges and get through very difficult times without making things worse. These skills help people who experience strong emotions that build and become overwhelming. They aim to increase behavioural control and reduce destructive actions which are great for helping people break habits and work on addictions. This module also teaches powerful skills to help people accept reality when nothing can be done to change it.

What is included?


• I'm a dedicated, highly trained DBT clinician focused on modeling and mastering the DBT skills and passionate about empowering you to do the same. I will go the extra mile to ensure my skills training is effective.
• Approximately three hours of DBT every week! 90-120 minute in-depth skills training lessons plus live sessions too.
• Content available whilst enrolled in the program to catch up or revise without paying for additional sessions.
• Live sessions with me so I can extend you, answer questions, keep you accountable and provide support to apply skills.
• Get all the PowerPoint slides and handouts plus additional resources, practical activities & information.
• Secure & private webinar login so you can participate anonymously (with a fake name if you wish) without risk.
• $120 AUD per week (plus 10% GST) for nine weeks ($80 AUD concession, available for card holders).

Webinars maintain privacy, remove difficult group interactions and facilitate learning regardless of location or professional role

Dr Yvette Vardy (she/her) is a clinical psychologist with a strong interest in borderline personality disorder and in helping those with complex issues and traumatic histories to overcome their difficulties and recover. She has established several Dialectical Behaviour Therapy programs in Australia and worked as a senior educator with Spectrum, Personality Disorders Service of Victoria, training clinicians state-wide.

Dr Vardy has completed Intensive and Comprehensive DBT and DBT-PE training and written a doctorate investigating the intolerance of "aloneness" in borderline personality disorder. In 2019, she published a peer-reviewed journal article on this work, which includes an assessment tool capturing the intensity and severity of the aloneness experience. She is passionate about breaking down barriers to accessing quality care.
